Biography
Early life
Richard Fertig was born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica as a child until his family moved to the United States in 1980. He graduated from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York and subsequently graduated from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania earning his MBA.
Personal life
Fertig currently resides in New York City with his three daughters.
Career
Fertig began his business career in Finance as an Associate at The Blackstone Group and managed a Hedge Fund at Ramius Capital LLC now Cowen Group in New York, New York until 2009, as a result of the recession.
Brilliant Transportation offers custom Mercedes Sprinter and Matrix vans in cities around the United States such as New York City, Los Angeles, Miami The Hamptons and Las Vegas.
Richard Fertig has contributed articles to periodicals such as ''Forbes"' where he was approached to join the contributing staff to discuss his business background and entrepreneurial methods that led to the foundation of Brilliant Transportation, Lifezaver software and Short Term Rental Secrets.
In 2016, Fertig launched another company, Short Term Rental Secrets which focuses on a strategy for individuals to generate income utilizing networks such as Airbnb and Home Away.
